Belair/Griggs Motel

Though the original sign still says Griggs, this has been the Belair Motel since at least the late 1960s. This neon sign, along with a fabulous neon star, still worked up until just a few years ago. When we were taking these pictures, an angry woman came rushing out, very upset that someone would dare to take a photo of their sign. She seemed utterly incapable of grasping why anyone would think that "that old sign" was anything anyone would want to take a picture of. It's a wonder they haven't already torn it down. Great looking place, but of course I certainly won't recommend it to anyone to actually stay in.
